I think it's an almost certainty the overall team percentage will be above 36%. Lowe, Aberdeen, and Perry will likely improve their #'s.Hopefully one or two of these guys make a leap to 40% 3pt
Agreed. The number of drive and kick-catch and shoot threes should go up exponentially so that should help our percentage alone. Add to that, improved offensive rebounding and 3 pt shooting should be fine.Still think this board is too worried about pure 3 point percentage. For the record, Alabama shot 35.3% this year, good for 93rd in the country, and still had the 4th best offense.
If our physicality and rebounding improve, which will lead to more offensive rebounds, that will more than make up for any downgrade in straight 3 point shooting. An an offense with more athletes will be able to get to the rim for easy layups more often as well. Anyone who's doubting this team will put up points is wrong.
I also think Chandler will make huge strides this year and will be a deadeye shooter by the time conference play rolls around.
It's not sexy to talk about, but our defense should be top tier. I'm looking forward to seeing a team buy in and put the clamps down on opponents.
