2018 5-Star PF Williams wants a UK offer. Former AAU teammate of Kevin Knox

They all want an offer just to say they have an offer and go somewhere else.
I believe that the total of top 18 players wanting Uk to pursue them is up to 10 now....
Williams, J Brown, M Brown, Reid, Quickley, Reddish, Bagley, Bol, Barrett after reclassification, and King. The top 18, 19 with Barrett, players remain uncommitted and now we have TEN of the19 that have made it clear they'd love to play for UK.
If only 60% of these that want to play for Cal commit, UK would land 6 of the top 19 players in probably the most talented HS class in the last decade (Either 1st or 2nd, IMO).
It's looking like UK will have 7-8 open scholarships, from my personal viewpoint.
This coming class Cal puts together may be the best we will EVER see. I'm not saying that with a hint of hyperbole.
Zion and Langford appear that they are going elsewhere . It looks like Barrett will get the nod over Reddish when Cal decides which one he prefers .
So, by subtracting those 3, 10 of 16 5* McDonald's AA recruits prefer UK if made a priority . That is not even fathomable to me.
UK might sign the greatest class ever without having to break a sweat. This is the best offseason i could ever even dream of! LOL!

I still would make Quickly, King, Barrett, Bol, and Bagley the top priorities. Possibly even add Jordan Brown as a top priority with Vanderbilt , PJ, and Richards appearing to be OAD.
After focusing most all effort on those 6, i would wait until a lower rated player catches my eye in the spring with the hope of keeping him several years. Like Willis, Hawkins, Matthews, Wynyrd, and Baker. Maybe an undersized wing or an Erik Daniels/Chuck Hayes type undersized big.
That would be the all time dream 7 player class right there! Crazily enough , it might actually happen...

I get what you're saying kinda. Self-marketing has perveaded the high school level and while what you said certainly happens we do get the lion's share when we make offers.
Best coach in the world? Why does he think that? Just shows teenagers perception of Pitino and K is so out of touch with reality. Just because they have been around forever, there are better coaches.
