2017 QB Mac Jones Mid Season Highlights / Recruiting news

His OL is much better this year. Last year's highlights he was taking a shot on every pass.
 
A trio of official visits come to mind for cornerback Brandon Shuman, a native of Miami who's currently slated to play his collegiate football for Purdue. Shuman, who possesses additional offers from Virginia, Kentucky, Rutgers, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Florida Atlantic and Bowling Green among others.

"I was thinking about visiting (Purdue) maybe on my bye week, but I haven't talked it over with my family yet," Shuman said. "I have three schools that I'm interested in visiting, but Purdue is one automatically and I'm going to visit there.

"I might be visiting Kentucky in January, and I might be visiting Virginia after the season as well."...

Sidney Lanier’s Alfred Thomas entered the season as the nation’s No. 2 defensive end in the 2018 class, but has taken a shine to defensive tackle in recent games.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound four-star prospect moved inside to help the team and made his presence known off the bat with a sack, forced fumble on the first play of the game last week.

Just a 15-year-old, Thomas size and ability inside has coaches wondering where he’ll fit as he heads to the next level. He already has offers from Mississippi State, Kentucky and North Carolina....

DB Dreshun Miller (6-2 185) of Marietta, GA

...Miller is planning to take an unofficial visit to USC for the LSU game. He was at Alabama for the Ole Miss game and he wants to visit Michigan. Clemson was showing him some interest earlier in the year but he's not heard from the Tigers since the summer. He's also heard from Kentucky and has an offer from Carson-Newman.

The recruiting process is starting early for Dallas Gant and it brought the 2018 Ohio linebacker to South Bend last weekend.

...Gant, who has been clocked at 4.62 in the 40-yard dash, said college coaches like his height, weight, speed and ability to get to the football. He plays middle linebacker for his high school squad, but Kentucky is recruiting him as an outside linebacker....

Warren Howland junior athlete Victor Williams is having a great season, and is one of the top 2017 prospects in the state of Ohio.

..."I still have the same offers, but I have a lot more schools looking at me right now," he explained. "My main offers are West Virginia, Kentucky and Cincinnati."

"I'm hoping to visit some schools after my season is over, and I'd like to go see the schools that have offered," he continued. "I'm hearing from Pittsburgh a lot, even though they have not offered yet. West Virginia is also recruiting me hard. My favorite team is Florida, and I would love to hear from them."..

Copley (Ohio) running back Weston Bridges has good size, speed and is putting up huge numbers. He has one offer already, will more come?

...I have an offer from Akron," he said. "It was one of the best feelings in the world. I always dreamed of playing college football and Division 1 football."

He also has heard from Bowling Green, Indiana, Kent State, Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), Purdue and Toledo. He will not be taking any visits until October he says...

Spencer County (KY.) sophomore Kadin Smith is off to a good start this season. Considered one of the state’s top underclassmen, it’s not surprising that he’s beginning to hear from programs at the next level.

...Smith is only a sophomore and hasn’t added offers, but he’s hearing from Kentucky along with several small schools.

“I made a visit to Kentucky when they played Missouri,” he said. “It was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed myself. It was crazy. Fans were rowdy and I loved it.”
