2016 wing VJ King down to 5 Schools

That kicks ass. I have a feeling that class is going to be freaking epic. And I have a feeling we're going to get several of the top guys. 4-6 top 20 players.

Always comfortable if it comes down to UK vs Louisville for a 5 star.

His final 2 will be UK and Zona. Love that Uva and UL is on that list vs us. Virgina's style of play meh no big time scorer going there and sit behind a bunch of 3* jr's and sr's. UL well hmm what do they do with bigtime talent? uuhhh nothing! Plus our head to head in recruiting battles is just a thing of domination! Uconn is a possible and Zona but after its all said and done I say he is ours to lose.

One interesting thing about King is that he grew up in Ohio and started his HS career at LeBron's alma mater, Akron SVSM. He didn't move to Virginia until after his sophomore year, and I think it was for academic reasons (his HS in Virginia is a pretty fancy prep school), meaning his family is still in Akron.

With the LeBron connection, and the other schools on that list, I have to think he's UK's if UK really wants him.

King has been my favorite kid in that class since last year. 6'7" with a smooth jump shot. Love his game, and he probably stands a better shot of attending UK than Mr. Tatum.

IMO he will be at UK barring anything crazy happening. From what I'm hearing from a friend in Fairfax that covers the local athletes, he will most likely be deciding in the fall rather than the spring.

One of UL's assistant's is his former AAU coach . That is the only reason they are listed .

UVa fan here. Live about 10 minutes from his school in Fairfax, and have seen a couple of his games.

He looks great in video clips, but you need to see him play team basketball to get the full appreciation of this kid's game. He makes others around him better, and even though he's the most talented on the floor, he does very well within the team concept. He's not worried just about his own highlight reel...don't believe he'll be a OAD. Could see him spending 2 years in college, maybe a 3rd year.

Certainly happy that UVa is on his list, but I don't expect us to be the final pick. Don't underestimate the connection with Louisville's assistant. Wouldn't surprise me if this is a Louisville/UK decision.

That 2016 class is loaded! So glad to see UK listed with so many. Excited about the possibilities for the 2016-2017 class!

Louisville is the favorite right now. Hopefully that can change.
