So is it a lock that if we are a #1 or #2 seed and make it past the third round, that we will be playing in Louisville giving us a big advantage on the road to the final four ?

Not a lock at all. Someone has to go to Philly, someone has to go to Chicago, someone has to go to Anaheim. UK won't get Louisville just because they are a 1 or 2 seed. They have to earn that by their ranking.

I already bought my tickets for the Yum Center so I'm really hoping our Cats end up playing there!

If UK is a 1 or 2 seed they should get Lou as ther regional. Remember that all we heard about for this pas tournament was geography.

OMG, that is amazing that they have the opportunity to play the sweet sixteen and elite eight in Louisville. I've been torn on going to the final four again this year, but maybe i'll be better served going to the regional semifinals and finals to support the cats. And I'll get free room and board from the grandparents! Here is to hoping they earn a spot in the south regional. Have to think Duke is the biggest competition for the south.

They will use geography unless some other method suits Ratface and Duke more. Duke will get their their annual easiest path to the final four.

If we are a 1 seed, we have a good shot at being in Louisville.

But, there's no guarantee.

We need to be number one overall to guarantee we go to the South.

Right now, on paper, the top candidates for 1 seeds are UNC, UK, Maryland, KU, Duke, Iowa St., and Michigan St., IMHO. There will probably be some surprise teams, but those are your top candidates.

Let's say Maryland, UNC, and Duke are all seeded above us. As the fourth 1 seed, we get sent to Anaheim.

If we are the two overall and say some surprise team like IU or Vandy is the overall one seed, they play in Lousiville and we get sent to Chicago.

I will feel pretty good about playing in Lousiville going into the tourney as long as we are one of the top two.

As a two seed, we might end up in Louisville, but I doubt the selection committee would do us that favor as it would give us a huge advantage over the 1 seed in our region. It would be funny to see Duke or UNC in Louisville as a 1 with UK as the 2. Their fans would be screaming bloody murder.

Yeah, but only if they are the top 1 seed. If Duke and UNC are ahead of UK in the pecking order...they are not shipping them both up north to Philly an Chicago when Louisvi

Yet they do it for Arizona, and UCLA out west a lot...and did it for Texas when they were a 2 seed in Texas several years ago. I agree though, they won't let a 2 seed UK play in Lexington if they cheat us out of it.

Playing in Indianapolis didn't exactly help us......................

Last year about this time, I said my 1 seeds were: UK, Wisconsin, Duke, and Zona. Three out of four isn't bad.

My picks right now:

East(Philly)- UNC
South(L'Ville)- UK
Midwest(Chicago)- Maryland
West(Anaheim)- KU

I never get the two seeds right. Last year I had KU, UNC, Texas, and UF. One out of four.

This year's 2 seeds:

East(Philly)- Michigan St.
South(L'Ville)- Duke
Midwest(Chicago)- Iowa St.
West(Anaheim)- UVA
