And to top it off, Monk was playing a team from Oklahoma who went 28-0 and had won the state championship. Fox was playing a team from Texas that included PG Andrew Jones, a top 35 player in the class of 2016. Finally, Killeya-Jones was facing top 10 player and MSU commit Miles Bridges. Not too shabby.

And Bam is on a loaded team where points and rebounds are shared. There are 9 d1 recruits on his team.

I was at the SKJ vs Bridges game. Both played well and guarded each other for maybe half the game. SKJ has really nice touch for a big man that can shoot the ball well. Bridges dunks the ball really hard. Bridges team is a solid team they also have Curtis Jones a top 50 player who is going to Indiana while SKJ team didn't help him a lot. SKJ will look good in blue and white.

I saw the game with Bam in Charlotte yesterday. Bam's team got beat by 10 by local Charlotte private school, never had a lead. Poor guard play and defense by High Point. Bam looked good, but will need to step up defense next year. He got stuffed twice by a 6'6" kid...............He has a big motor, goes hard..............

By the end of the 2016-17 season, I think all five will be starting for us.

I think Humphries and Matthews will be our top reserves and should play starter minutes, but it will be the freshmen leading the way. They are just too talented.

And Tai Wynard.

I would guess Sacha Killeya-Jones has added at least 20 lbs since the Summer. He looks a little more filled out in recent pictures.

We are spoiled. It's going to be so hard for BBN to deal with when Cal finally leaves. I really feel for the next guy. He'll be doomed. The guys we've already got are an awesome looking bunch, but I assume another 1-2 might still be possible. Cal is facing more competition for these OAD types than ever yet he just keeps signing great classes year after year. Hopefully they bring some more titles back to Lexington over this next 5 years or so.

Next UK coach will probably only be able to pick up 1-2 of these caliber recruits every year. Cal gets 4-6 lol.

SKJ interests me because he is technically our lowest-rated recruit, yet I look at his game, his growth, and the trajectory he is on and I can't believe he's not a Top 10 kid.

I guess it just illustrates how good the 2016 class is - I think SKJ would be Top 10 in most any other class. I think he's better than Zimmerman or Jeter from last year for sure. Maybe on par with Ivan Rabb.

When Cal does leave maybe he will help pick the next coach for UK. Lets hope that is many years down the road.

I was at DeAaron's game. Sat behind his family.

With around 3.3 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, he took a steal 3/4 of the court and hit a layup before the buzzer sounded. It was the fastest I've seen a guy accelerate in a long time.

Don't know if our frosh will win it all next year - think Duke and MSU could end up having more returnees to go with their huge classes than we will, but our guys are going to be incredibly fun to watch.

UK will be the favorite to win it all next year and I'd be surprised if they didnt.

Yeah both those teams will be right there with us next year. Duke should return everybody but Ingram and MSU everyone but the seniors. Costello and Deyonte Davis should be a force up front for them and then they have a really good class led by Bridges and Langford. Eron Harris should be the star guard next year too btw. And Duke's lineup will look something like this...

Thornton
Allen
Tatum
Giles
Jeter

Jones
Kennard
Jackson
Possibly Bolden.

I think they're gonna be a real threat to us for obvious reasons. Guys like Jeter, Thornton, and Kennard aren't doing what some thought they would in their Freshmen year but all 3 will develop into really good players. And next year they'll have a full year of experience under their belt. But if you look at our lineup we're still the best team next year if you ask me. I think Ulis will be back...

Ulis
Fox
Monk
Bam
SKJ

Mathews
Gabriel
Humphries
Wynyard
Willis

I think SKJ will rise up the ranks and end up being a borderline top 10 player, and I went with him starting to have a more traditional look and because Gabriel will probably play a lot of SF but if Gabriel keeps up what he's doing he'll be starting.

I'm expecting Jeter to improve that's why I have him starting but Duke may go with Jones at the 3 and Tatum at the 4 with the way Matt Jones is ballin out this year.

I'd be SHOCKED if Grayson Allen doesn't go pro. Other than the game against us, the guy has been freaking awesome.

He's averaging 20+, and I think his 3-pt shooting percentage is 50-plus. The fact that Briscoe and the rest of our team shut this guy down should excite everyone.

Duke should lose Ingram and Allen only.

Hate to sound like this but its true. Most of the time those type of white boys usually stick around. At Duke and other places. Reddick stayed what? All 4 didn't he. And I know some do leave early but I can see Allen wanting to come back and being on that loaded team next year. No doubt he can be a 1st rounder and he's ballin out right now but I would guess he comes back

To be honest, I think K needs for him to leave. K is still figuring out thus OAD stuff. He's a 7-man rotation guy. If a couple of guys like Ingram or Allen came back that he didn't expect to come back, think it would throw him for a loop. Can't imagine K doing the platoon system thing Cal did last year to keep everyone happy.

I think Ulis is gone. Lee as well. I also think Allen is gone. Ingram will leave too, IMHO.

I think we will start:
G Fox
G Monk
F Gabriel
F Killeya-Jones
F Adebayo

Key Reserves:
G Matthews
F Humphries
F Willis

I think they will start:
G Thornton
G Kennard
G Jones
F Tatum
F Giles

Key Reserves:
G Jackson
F Jeter
F DeLaurier

It's going to be close between the two teams, if they meet (which would be in the tourney).

If Ulis is back, we are the better team. His experience and leadership would give us an edge, IMHO.

Wonder what Michigan St will look like? You know Costello and Davis in the frontcourt. Then Bridges at SF. But then what? I don't think they're done with this class either. Eron Harris is a really good player who should put up 12-14 a game for them next year but I don't know if he or Langford will start at the 2.

Costello will graduate. They probably look like this:

Starters
G Nairn
G Harris
G Langford
F Bridges
F Davis

Key Reserves
G Winston
G McQuaid
F Bess
F Ward
F Schilling

Man I don't know why I was thinking Costello was a Junior but you're right LOL. My bad

I'd say Winston will start over Nairn. Nairn aint that good IMO. Nairn's a good distributor and ball handler but not much else. Winston is the better PG.

Izzo likes an experienced PG. Not sure he will hand the reigns to a Freshman. I agree about Nairn, though, I just think he will favor the Junior over the Frosh.

It's hard to see any other teams coming close to what UK, Duke, and Mich St will have next year. A lot of factors still in play, will Deyonta Davis be back, will St add Josh Jackson? I think it's a toss up if Allen and Ingram come back, normally I'd say they would be back but I'm sure they're aware they'll probably lose minutes next year.
