Don't want him unless he's a top 25-30 player. Unless he's the kind of kid who may shoot up the rankings.
 
There aren't any Towns, Skal, Okafor types in 2016. Giles is the best big man, but he's a longshot.

Regardless, UK is going to have to replace Skal next year and will need bodies in the frontcourt. There are about 4-5 guys we are looking at who are all about the same talent level and Jones is one of them. We just need to get 1-2 of them.

Hopefully Lee will be back for his senior year. With the dearth of big men in 2016, he could really be positioned well in the draft.
 
He's no Skal (yet) but I like the fact he can hit from all over the floor. The only thing better than a good shooter is a good shooter who's tall. Looks like a natural.

Yeah but we're gonna need bigs who can come in and have a big time impact from day 1. Like KAT, Cousins, Davis, etc. Not guys who'll be backups and take 3-4 years to develop. We'll still have Wynyard for that.

You basically just listed 3 bigs that will be or have been All-Stars in the league. While it's great to have that kind of talent, you're not getting bigs of that caliber every single year.
 
This kid can shoot from anywhere on the floor. He'd be a great addition.
 
With Wynyard and hopefully Lee back, we just need a couple of solid bigs to help.

I'd like to see a big SF to man the 4 spot to stretch the defense. Somebody like Isaac preferably, maybe Bridges.

Then add one of Killya-Jones, Banks, Cage, Allen, etc. to provide depth.

Like others have mentioned, there aren't many superstar bigs in the '16 class, so I doubt we sign more than one (besides Wynyard) and concentrate on wings. That class is loaded with wings.
 
This kid is really skilled for his size..a perfect 4 man with range and ball skills. No way he doesn't end up being a top 30 guy. Sign him up Cal.

He is talking about this year. Murray is clear cut that UK is all in. Maker is a possibility, as is Tai reclassifying.
 
Been looking into this kid since reading bout him on KSR this morning. Sounds like many think he will be climbing the rankings. I love his skill set!! Sign em up!!

You didn't want Bledsoe? ESPN didn't have him in their top 100.

How about Dwayne Wade? Paul George? Cameron Payne? Frank Kaminsky? Could go on forever.

Not sure if you are really young or just naive, but let's let Cal evaluate talent ok skippy?
 
My how spoiled you are only wanting top 30.. if we o ly took top 30. We would have ten go pro every year and never have a sophomore..get a grip
 
Jones will end up being a 5* McDonalds All American when it is all said & done. As far as big men go in the 2016 class, he is amongst the top 8. Anybody saying that they do not want him based on an out of date ranking is extremely uninformed. Trust in Cal. He is the best in the business for a reason.
 
To back up my previous post, in 247's latest rankings, they bumped Sacha all the way up to #30 overall & the #6 PF. He was the highest riser in their top 100, from what I can tell. ESPN (#57) & Rivals (#73) will do the same when they get a chance to further evaluate him. The kid has STUD written all over him! Go get him, Cal!
 
Saw an article this morning about this kid loving UNC. Who knows what will happen after the investigation with UNC but that really doesn't bode well for UK.
