Stoops has always been hot garbage after bye weeks. No clue why
I can't recall the last time we had 2 weeks to prepare and I was like, "that team looked ready to play and performed well." Always look like hot garbage with to much time between games. I have no idea what his problem is but I'm about tired of it. I really think he's done all he can do here and there's no where to go but down.
I think so unfortunately. Stoops made huge strides here. But things have turned quickly.
I tried to tell everybody I know that we always play like crap after a bye and KWilt came at me and said we're 4-2 after byes. I was like do we pass the eye test? Who did we beat? EKU, Austin Peay, Southern Middle and Tates Creek? This was expected.
I believe he's now 5-5 with the wins not being very noteworthy or inspiring confidence.
I just remember several years where I was thinking WTH did we do in practice for two weeks?
I mean, I'm generally a Stoops backer, but to have two weeks to prepare for a defense that poor and only put up 6? Of course, nobody said the improvement/rise of a program would be or had to be linear. Sometimes you just have a "dip" and need to look to next year. I fear it will be far worse against GA.

Not all of us pal. I understand we have our share. We don't hold a candle to UGA or Florida fan bases imo. I feel Kentucky fans catch a lot of ribbing from some UT fans because over the last 2 decades while TN has wondered through the wildness of college football irrelevance we've somehow managed to still have a leg up on Kentucky for whatever reason. I always kind of pulled for Kentucky when they don't play the Vols. Anyway good luck the rest of the way.

Especially with a defense first HC. I can see why his philosophy on offense is to play keep away from the other team because he doesn't want to get exposed on defense. Our numbers are usually decent on offense because we play stall ball on offense and keeps our defense off the field. We will NEVER win anything meaningful at UK playing such a conservative, ball control offense.
