Thank you SEC! Did Kentucky ever had to play two official games in the same day?

Yes, a number of times in the 1940’s and early 1950’s in SEC Tournament they’d play the semifinals early in the day and then the championship game in the evening.Thank you SEC! Did Kentucky ever had to play two official games in the same day?
I know UK got beat in it, but the year the tornado ripped part of the roof off in Atlanta, didn't The Tourney have to move the semifinals and finals to the same day?As Ernie Banks once said: "It's a great day for a ballgame, let's play two."
Seems like they did. I should remember that since I got screwed out of watching.I know UK got beat in it, but the year the tornado ripped part of the roof off in Atlanta, didn't The Tourney have to move the semifinals and finals to the same day?

UK SEC Tournament Games
Yes they did. Making UGAs win all the more impressive.I know UK got beat in it, but the year the tornado ripped part of the roof off in Atlanta, didn't The Tourney have to move the semifinals and finals to the same day?
that was my quote I made yesterday here on the board, updating all the games as they went along. I was thinking about Ernie saying that, when in the first OT for Texas yesterday, I said "let's make it two!" (also a yogi berra-ism) and they promptly went into double OT for us all.As Ernie Banks once said: "It's a great day for a ballgame, let's play two."
