Okay we all know the Fab Five of 1948 (and the Fab Four of '49), the 1958 Fiddlin' Five, the 1996 Untouchables, the 1998 Comeback Cats, and the 1997 Unbelievables who just missed. Not sure if the 2012 champs ever got a nickname though...

But all that being said, it seems like the 1951 champs don't get hardly any love at all...why is that? :( It's like the 1992 team is the Unforgettables...and the 1951 is the Forgotten Champs :(

PS: Do other schools do cool nicknames for their teams like we do? :)

Do you really think the 97 "unbelievables" belongs in this list? Did that moniker ever truly catch on anywhere other than in some fanboys' masturbatory fantasies? I rather doubt that "we all know" that one.

Personally I think the obsession some UK fans have with assigning team nicknames grows wearisome. I'd say the legacy of the 2012 and 51 champs stands quite proud without need for one.
