It use to be a big deal when a team won in Rupp, now it’s just another night.
2019 was the last good team we had. I don't think 2020 was on that level and we certainly haven't been at that level since

And yet the 2019 team didn’t win squat either. No regular season or SECT title and no F4.
We're in the midst of a 9 year Final Four drought. 2017 and 2019 shoulda coulda woulda got there but didn't. We haven't even won 30 games since '19. And we have 1 tournament win in that span
He's the only college coach who could have put those 2010 and 2015 teams together (using his undeniable recruiting skills).
Unfortunately, he's also the only coach who could manage NOT to win an NCAA title with such a spectacular collection of talent. He is a D- level bench coach.
Maybe Dane Bradshaw should start saying Final Four talent and NIT coaching.

Guys were stuck with him - there is no way out unless he goes to Mitch and says buy me out. That won’t happen unless he starts getting booed heavily during his name being called at Rupp Arena - that’s not going to happen - media is not going to ask him tough questions because there’s no Jerry Tipton’s out there. We are probably stuck another 5 years.

I wonder how many home losses we have had under each Coach starting with Hall and the number of home games played by each Coach. I bet our HOF Coach has the worst record for Coaches with more than 100 home games.

I can't defend that at all. UK should have a better home court edge no matter the coach. That's not a defense of Cal because he's lost plenty on the road. But it's not uncommon for average teams to have stellar home records. UK losing more than two in year at Rupp should NEVER happen.
Something changed with the psyche of Cal post Covid. Maybe it was the LT contract....no clue, but he isn't the same.
