Oklahoma. Have lost 4 of last 5, and only OOC win over ranked opponent is UCLA, who is now 11-9. Lost to Creighton, Washington, and Wisconsin. B-12 continues to reap benefit of being the most over-ranked conference in the history of basketball.

I noticed that one too. Makes zero sense. They were 16th in the nation and lose 4 out of 5 games and only drop to 24. They lost to a Creighton team who is 0-8 in the Big East.

UK lost games and was given lots of time to drop from the polls...No bias at all from the voters!

I've wondered this for a long time now.

The big12 is about what the SEC is, they just have media bias in their favor.

Made this same comment in another thread. No way Oklahoma or Texas is in my top 25. I have in CSU and Arkansas instead. Like the coaches did. Big 12 must have some great lobbyist.

Yes; however, if they had been in the Big 10 or ACC they would have moved up a spot or two. Go Cats!!

They should not be ranked, but even if they had dropped them out they would have just put them back in after OU beats Tubby and Travis this week.

FWIW ranked 12th in Kenpom and 18th in Sagarin.

12-7 isn't good but prehaps their true talent level is a bit better than their record indicates.

That's because they beat a few other similarly overranked B-12 teams. They lost to Wisc, Washington and Creighton in the OOC, and only beat UCLA, who were ranked far too high as we've come to find out. Bottom line is that outside of us, Virginia and a few others, there really isn't a hell of a lot of difference between teams in the Top 25 and teams from 25-50. But just having the cachet of being ranked makes these teams seem to be better than they are.

I agree with this, but I don't want to hear anyone on here using these computer things to pump up the SEC either anymore.

Here's some more. I'm just saying that both humans and computer agree on this. And looking at just record is a horrible way to determine strength of teams.

I remember a UK team in 2011 go 10-6 in conference. They lost a bunch of close games on the road. That team also ended up in the final four lol.

I'm not saying OU is a top 25 team, just that it seems to be the consensus among lots of systems

If cappel was still there they would move up to top ten coach k would assure that.
