6 Wins versus relatively "gimmees" at Rupp
W at South Florida
W vs Ohio State
W vs UL at Rupp
W vs Arizona State at Rupp
W at UCLA

toss-ups vs Duke and at Kansas

14-4 in SEC puts us at 25-6 or 26-5 going into the SEC tourney.

That is my story....

That would make us a top-10 team all year. Which is weird since so many posters on here had us playing in the NIT just a few weeks back.

That would be very impressive considering the tough games they will have plus an improved SEC.Kansas and Duke games will be tough and I would be happy with winning one.

Don't we play Purdue? Looks like a tough game to me.

Duke and Kansas only ones off the bat I think we struggle or potentially lose. Gonna be tough to play in Allen Fieldhouse especially late in January. Will definitely be a fun season, although I would have liked to have this schedule last year to shut everyone up.

I think the UCLA game will be tough. I believe they return everyone from a sweet 16 team. They were questionably put in the NCAA tourney but they played pretty well once they got in.

UCLA lost 2 of their 3 best players; Looney and Powell. They will be struggling a bit.

We're definitely gonna lose some of these games but I'm fine with us flying under the radar next year...

I just hope that we're hitting on all cylinders by season's end next year.

Don't buy the statement that they played well in the NCAA. Got an unbelievable goal tend call on a 3 that was no way going in to get a lucky win against SMU and then in 2nd round got to play UAB who managed to upset opponent in first round.

11-2 or 12-1 ooc? Wow, we lost our top 7 players...have no idea how Alex's knee is going to hold up... a point guard who's minutes will be up that is prone to being trapped because he can't see over anyone...4 newcomers that will take a while to adjust to the college game... Lee who is extremely athletic, decent on D but very limited on offense, and 2 guys "Hawkins & Willis" that barely got off the bench and you came to this conclusion how?

Don't be silly, funKYcat75, 31 regular season games + 3 SEC Tourney games + 6 NCAA Tourney games = 40.

Won't be as much pressure on this team because nobody expects an undefeated season. So it will be easier to go 40-0 next season. Book it.

Could you quote these? I'm having trouble finding them.

Look after we lost Zimmrman and a couple of early recruits, people were going to Louisville to jump off a bridge. Actually the depression was kind of funny.

Nope. I'm not a doom and gloom fan. I think we can roll out the roster as is and compete for a national title.
I agree with you 100%. We will have some losses, but I think this team will compete. Plus I feel Cal does a better job as a coach when he is not the overwhelming favorite. IMO we'll have some struggles offensively at times w/o a true go-to player, and teams will score on us a little easier than we'd like. With that being said there is an opportunity for players to step up and become leaders. We've seen it in the past with Harrelson, Liggins, etc.

Despite losing our top seven UK will still have one of the top 15 teams next season. Just because we lost seven guys doesn't mean we don't have talent next season and a vast majority of schools would consider next season an up year if they had the kind of talent we have. If you think we are going to be terrible go root for someone else.

We are not winning at Kansas. It's the equivalent of us losing to Ku by 30+ points and having them at rupp for the first time in a long time. We would win that game with our crowd. Allen Fieldhouse will try and run us out. Hopefully we play tough but that's really a tough game to play and win on the road.

I like the KU game being in January, that gives our team a chance to build some cohesion. When you have a tough as nails pg like we have I like our chances. We won't be expected to win the game, which is something else I really like, but we very well could come away with a win.
If this was a November/December game I would chalk it up to a loss.

We will have the talent to compete and win any game next yr. Now with that said , we obviously won't. Hard to predict what exactly will transpire. I'm sure we will lose some to teams we shouldn't. And maybe steal a win at KU that we shouldn't. Who knows, thats why they play the games. But I agree with the majority. Think we lose 6-8 games.

I agree and thanks for getting rid of that comment that attacked me it is appreciated.
LOL that wasn't an attack, I was actually being very nice..and you still have not answered my question where in my first post did I say we are going to be terrible? man up and at least answer that

Hard to predict before the roster's set, but I look for some struggles out of the gate and then hopefully meshing by January. The Bahama trip gave last year's team a head start and led to those huge early blowouts. This year we'll be learning to play together while facing some experienced foes early. Way too many question marks right now.

I for one am glad we don't play Kansas early. They return more and should be better at the beginning of the year. We all know the later in the year it gets the worse Kansas seems to get.

None of those losses they had last year with a 9 loss team were at home though.

I'm not so quick to assume wins against Ohio St and in Westwood. I wouldn't be surprised at 10-3 or even 9-4. I expect this team to have a bit of growing pains. It's not like it's something we haven't seen with some of Cal's teams.

Are we really playing at KU in the Phog? I don't keep as on top of things this time of year. If so, does that mean they are coming to Rupp the year after? I had not heard we'd renewed what was once at home-and-home thing at least back in the 70's. If the Cat's are playing in Lawrence that's a drive I might be willing to make. It's about 8 hours, and a very easy drive. Almost no traffic until you hit Salina or so. I can set the cruise at 84 for the first 200 miles.

Let's make our points without attacking fellow fans.
Mr. Edwards

Kentucky was the 15th state to join the Union and the Federal government change the13 stripes to 15 stars and stripes. They then
change it back to 15 stars and one for every new state and 13 stripes for the original colonies. It would be wonderful to show the
15 Stripe flag.

Here's my reasoning. Everyone knows that the NCAA is out to get us. I wouldn't put it past them to make us play a Thursday game in the SEC due to some loophole in the bylaws and I figure we'll also be the first overall 1 seed to take part in the play-in game in Dayton. More TV money, the arena would be packed, and it would be a great storyline.

42 and 0, Mr. @Kaizer Sosay
