what i like is the reporter cawood; asking the right #?'s.at that time barely graduated from Centre College

To think the tournament folk conspired to keep the champs led by Rupp out cause we won the championship too much

Why am I not surprised?

Also Ucla never had trouble with an invitation.

One thing that was not reported at the time (and it's not clear if Rupp ever knew this either) but the guy from Virginia (Gus Tebel) who voted for N.C. State to attend the tourney over UK actually had been the coach of N.C. State in the 1920's.

Strange to me that this bit of information didn't come to light at the time.
