Like I said in another thread, it’s hard to win big games relying on freshman. Coach K is one of the best all time and he couldn’t win at the same level when he went all in on the one and done system. It’s tough to beat teams with 23-24 year old men and you have 18-19 year olds. Tonight A and M had two upperclassmen that smoked us because they are on a bubble team and wanted this game game more than our kids did.

I’ll even add to my last post, the portal does help get some upperclassmen but I don’t think it’s as beneficial as having players that have stayed with the same coach for 3-4 years.
