Built for an early exit at this rate.
The defense was never going to be built for March. Just too many weak defenders. And Cal doesn’t help things by needlessly playing Tre Mitchell.
They can certainly still win this game, but this team is usually soft with poor defense. Eventually that will knock them out. Hope I am wrong.

Kentucky is paying their coach way too much money to keep getting beat by unranked teams in the SEC tournament. Five draft picks and a hall of fame coach and can’t stop layups?, something has got to give.
You are so right! So maybe the coach isn’t the problem right? Maybe his boss is? Just thinking. What a $hit $how this project the Cal has made of UK Basketball. It used to be fun. I love the players, after that, to hell with the rest of this bunch. It’s become embarrassing and ridiculous.
We looked like the freshmen team at the first practice of the season. It is a disgrace the way this team plays defense. This team has too much talent and depth to give up constant easy scores and wide open looks. Their communication is poor. They are usually out of position. They can't guard the ball. They can't defeat a screen on the ball or off the ball. They foul constantly because they are a step behind in rotations. Multiple effort plays only happen once in a blue moon. And most of all they don't gang rebound.
It is on the coach when a team with this kind of talent and shooting is so disorganized, unprepared and inconsistent.
