Hello everybody. Good Tuesday afternoon to you all. I’m over on campus for UK football practice today. Due to the open date, it’s the only day of media we’ll do this week. Mark Stoops will join us at approx 5:30 ET. Stay tuned for the latest news and notes on the Cats...

* Stoops says good practice today. Very pleased with what he saw on film from Mizzou game, good things on both sides of the ball and special teams. “One of the most complete games we’ve played in a while.”

* Cats took Monday off. Back at it today with good energy. “Good start to the week.” Ready to get started on prep for Tennessee.

* Asked about the NCAA NIL updates, Stoops said he thinks it’s progress in the right direction, but he’s too busy with his team right now to dig into it too deep. “I’ll let the smart people work it out.”

* Lynn Bowden is one of the most versatile guys Mark Stoops has ever coached. He said Sean Taylor from his Miami days is probably the only other guy that comes to mind. He was a freak. Could have played CB, FS, LB or WR.

* Mark Stoops said he seriously considered letting Lynn play two ways this year. He was asking to do it this summer. To get out there and play DB. “I have no doubt he could... He doesn’t want to come off the field for a play.” Such a smart kid, he noted. People don’t realize how much he’s picked up at QB.

* Young guys like Taj and MJ could play a little bit more down the stretch and stay under the 4-game redshirt umbrella, MS said.

* Calvin Taylor is a great example of the program’s “recruit and develop” message, Mark Stoops said. “This year he’s taken his game to a whole new level.”

* Taylor told us the defense is feeling so good about how they’re playing right now that he wishes they could go play again this weekend.

* Drake Jackson joined the praise train for Taylor, saying he’s a great example of how recruiting rankings are thrown out the window once you report and it’s time to get to work. He said Calvin is so good today because he’s done nothing but work and get better since the time he got to UK.

* Josh Paschal said he’s been working inside in the Cats’ nickel package and enjoys it a lot. He said he would welcome playing inside in the base, too, if the Cats need him. Mark Stoops hinted at this Monday night on the radio show as the young OLBs are coming on strong.
