* Stoops says he’s proud of the way the team has responded to a tough loss and bounced back with strong preparation this week. Hopes Cats are ready to play a complete game Saturday.
* Brad White has impressed Stoops this season with the work he’s done in his first year, especially getting guys in the right position and getting them to play hard.
* On Vandy’s Vaughn: “A complete back, has that ability to hit it and find a seam.”
* Neal at QB for Vandy requires everybody to be disciplined and in the right spot when they’re supposed to be, Stoops said.
* On Lynn Bowden being nominated for the Hornung Award: “Proud of him. Deserving.”
* Asked about Lynn tweeting to Coach Cal to hit him up for hoops, Stoops laughed and said, “Give me a few more weeks and a bowl game.” Said he wouldn’t be surprised at all if he could actually play at that level.
* Terry Wilson is off crutches now. Stoops said that’s good too see that, but he’s not totally up to speed on exactly when Terry will return to some football activities. Said all his focus now is on this team and Vandy.
