Cats are just about to wrap up Tuesday’s workout at the JCFTC. It’s offense day, so we’ll get OC Eddie Gran and select players and coaches from that side of the ball. We’re told Terry Wilson will be available to talk to us today, so that’s something to look forward to. Warren and I are here to bring you all the details. Look for updates around 5:45-6:00 ET.

* Gran says Wilson has responded well since being named starting QB.

* More focus from guys today, Benny Snell setting the tone.

* On LTs, Gran says “next man up, what a great opportunity.” Says neither guy is ready for 80 plays, so it would be good if both contribute. Gran adds they were “so close” to pulling the redshirt off Watkinslast year. Glad they didn’t now.

* Will Gunnar play? “You don’t know... but he’s ready to go.” Gran added Hoak handle it like a star and was extremely humble.

* Tavin Richardson a “quiet leader” in the WR corps. Also getting some of that with Bowden and Baker.

* CMU is coached extremely well, Gran said, and play really hard. Have good guys inside and outside, pass rushers.

* Schlarman speaking to us for first time today, says he’s been working with doctors at UK and St. Joseph’s and a facility in Houston. Says he’s been feeling better than he has in the last couple of months, but still at the start of his journey. Thanked all the coaches and players for their full support. Football has been good for him, keep working instead of thinking.

* Schlarman says Watkins, Kinnard, Price, Wolfe and Fortner have all shown they can provide Cats with quality OL depth.

* EJ Price is very physical in the run game and beats guys with his punch at the point of attack, Schlarman said.

* Terry Wilson says he’s excited about being the starter and is looking forward to showing everyone he deserves to keep the job now. He cites coverage recognition as a big step in his recent development. Also said he’s being more decisive.

* Wilson letting it be known he is a pass-first QB, that he can run really well, but it’s not his main responsibility.

* Wilson asked about his overall speed vs the other guys on the team: “I’m blowing them away.” (Laughs)

* Benny Snell says he won’t let Wilson’s speed claim go unchallenged. “We’ll have to see about that.” (Smiles)

* Snell says he’s “jacked up” for this game, ready to play more than anybody, especially since he was taken out of his last game.

* On the CMU comments about him: “I’m back to back 1,000-yard rusher in the SEC.”

* Darin Hinshaw stressed that, while Wilson clearly won the job, he feels 100% that any of the three main QBs can win for Kentucky. He stressed that even includes Danny Clark, who did some great things in camp.
