Hello everybody. Just arrived at the JCFTC for the end of today’s practice session. Cats will be wrapping up around Noon ET.

Stay tuned for all the latest details as OC Eddie Gran breaks down Saturday’s scrimmage on his side of the ball and we check in with various offensive players and coaches to see what they have to say.

* Good bounce back day for the offense, Gran said. Responded to the criticism. "I liked the way we came out the last two days... pushed the ball down the field. We definitely got better from Saturday."

* Gran liked how both freshman RBs ran hard during the scrimmage in the absence of Snell and Rose. Noted that they both have good hands, too. Still too early to tell if they’ll be in the mix this season. The next scrimmage will be a good test to see where they are.

* Young still working on his technique, consistency. Working every day against Allen has been helpful.

* Baker working himself back to football shape, pushing thru it.

* Bowden has to learn how to play with same speed and consistency every day. Gran said he made a great play today that they think is his everyday potential.

* Gran called WR Bouvier their camp MVP so far if they had to name one. Former walk-on bringing it every day. He was one of three players (with RB Zach Johnson and PK Miles Butler) to earn a scholarship from Stoops on Monday.

* Better day today for QBs. More consistent than scrimmage. Knew where to go with the ball the last couple of days. “They picked up their game.”

* WRs coach Michael Smith called Bouvier “a warrior.” Agreed with Gran that he’s been their MVP.

* Smith said Brett Slusher is another unsung guy in that WR group who is impressing the staff.

* Smith called Akeem Hayes another guy to watch, that he’s got that “little guy” chip on his shoulder to defy observers.

* Hinshaw says both QBs had a turnover on Saturday. One was a great play INT by Josh Allen reading a screen, the other was a ball that sailed and got picked off. The ball sailing has been an issue for both.
