University of Kentucky basketball signee Skal Labissiere is the No. 2 overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to the newly released Recruiting Services Consensus Index (RSCI) rankings.

The annual composite ranking uses six major recruiting services to come up with one master ranking.

Louisiana State signee Ben Simmons is ranked No. 1 overall. Simmons and Labissiere both earned the top spot from three recruiting services, but Simmons edged out Labissiere by one point in the final tally.

It was the second-closest finish for No. 1 in the 18-year history of the RSCI. (Nerlens Noel and Shabazz Muhammad tied for the top spot in 2012).

UK signee Isaiah Briscoe is 11th in the final RSCI for 2015. Fellow UK signee Charles Matthews finished 50th.

Recent UK commitment Jamal Murray currently sits at No. 71, but he is ranked by only two of the six recruiting services used to compile the RSCI: 247Sports (10th) and Scout.com (12th).

Until last week, Murray was considered a class of 2016 prospect. If any of the remaining recruiting services re-rank him for 2015, he will move up in the final standings.

In his seven recruiting classes at Kentucky, Coach John Calipari has now signed 17 top-10 prospects and 25 top-25 prospects, according to the RSCI rankings. If Murray is re-ranked, he will almost certainly reach top-25 status and could end up in the top 10.
