1. Jalen Rose is a serious candidate and needs to finish out the Playoffs and his TV commitments before any announcement.
2. Cal's leaving his options open until the Cavs and possibly the Bulls make any potential coaching changes...doesn't want to hire someone if there's even .01% chance he could jump to the NBA.
3. Cal's using a delayed assistant hire to bluff some NBA suspicions to better his standing for higher pay/contract extension.
