Question. Does basketball not have to follow the 2 weeks job posting period?

It seems odd that we always have to wait 2 weeks to announce a new staff hire. Basketball isn't even going through an interview process.
Is there a different standard for basketball with this also? Just another glaring example to me that this school puts men's basketball out in front of everything. It feels like Tennessee Football.

Haha, yeah funny double standard ain't it.

Probably easy contract language to get around the dumbass state 10 day rule. Like Drew will sign a contract where officially he will be Bball coach 10 days after Calipari resignation, until then he's an indy contractor temp in charge of the program.

Same goes for women's basketball. It is very fkn odd, yes. They've been announcing staff hiring immediately for both men's and women's basketball for years.

LoL it is a state law about ALL jobs with governmental entities. No, no carve out for "head coaches of university sports ball clubs".

Yes, head coach job was publicly posted in 2012, us on the board back then had fun joking about what to put when we all apply
