* Cats get the big win. It was a must win game for the Cats. We could have made it a lot easier on ourselves, we just don’t have that DNA in our makeup apparently.

* Story of the game for me, is that the Cats had double digit leads 4 times, including up 14 midway thru the 2nd half and repeatedly let the Gators get back in the game each time including opportunity to tie the game at the end. Have to be better than that.

*. Cats gave up 45 pts in the 2nd half …have to be better than that. As it turned out, the 7-0 run at the end of the 1st half was a huge factor in the final outcome.

* Wallace with 20pts and Toppin with 17pts and 10 rbs carried the Cats tonight. Both played well. CJ finally showed signs of life with 12pts and Wheeler had 8 pts. Collins and Livingston gave us good minutes. Reeves played very little which doesn’t make any sense.

* Oscar had 15 rbs but was 2-14 from the field, had 3 TO’s, and fouled out. He struggles against taller players on the offensive end … he has to be able to make shots with touch. Castleton had 25 pts, 8 rbs, and 5 assists and abused Oscar ... albeit with the benefit a few walks. It was a bad game for Oscar, but the Cats still got the win.

* Up Next: Cats take on Arkansas at Rupp in the late game on Tuesday night. I think this is another must win game for the Cats who are on that NCAA bubble. Also think this is a difficult matchup for the Cats with the Hogs ability to score off the dribble ... something the Cats have been vulnerable to … and in the paint, the Hogs have a lot of physical bodies to throw at Oscar. These are all head to head bubble games the Cats have to find a way to win.
