According to Pete Thamel earlier today Rutgers named Athan Kaliakmanis its starting quarterback and Gavin Wimsatt has initiated the process of entering the transfer portal.
I believe Kentucky is going to have some interest and perhaps a lot.
Brock Vandagriff is a good QB1. He doesn't have any starts under his belt but the belief is he will be a good quarterback.
After that, you have a true freshman and a more experienced preferred walk on.
Wimsatt has started 23 games for Rutgers. He's a big kid, athletic, and has won games for a Big Ten program. It wouldn't be a bad use of a scholarship at all.
UK did have interest in Wimsatt earlier before he went to Rutgers but I believe this will be the most real it has been.
