I'm not Dion, but I did not realize that the Panama Canal water level was decreasing. I found that very interesting and was curious as to why, just like you are. I simply searched "why is the panama canal water level sinking" and was amazed at the number of links detailing the reason. There are possibly hundreds of pieces written over the last several years and they are quite easy to find.
The basic reason is drought ... "The drought has had a particularly profound effect on the man-made Gatún Lake, which holds the water supply that operates the Panama Canal. On January 1, 2024 water levels in Gatún Lake were lower than in any other January on record, almost 6 ft lower than January 1, 2023."
I didn't know that a man-made lake supplies water to the canal ... I naively assumed the oceans did.

It doesn't have anything to do with feelings. You're projecting because that's how you interface with the world. It's about accuracy. I disputed it because it wasn't true. If it turns out to be a deliberate attack I'll gladly eat crow. But guess what? That isn't going to happen. Because it wasn't one. Not because I don't want it to be. Just because it isn't.
