I'll give Mitch some slight credit for being brave. He just bet his job on Cal next season. Dude must be one HELL of a gambler because I would NEVER make that bet.

No he didn’t. The board and the president aren’t firing him, ever.

Where did he say that? Great if true. Have to get a couple more of the freshmen to come back and get stronger.Reed said he’d come back if Cal was back? We can only hope.
No I’m hoping.Where did he say that? Great if true. Have to get a couple more of the freshmen to come back and get stronger.
So if Cal mess up YET again, and we STILL can't get rid of him, Mitch holds NO responsibility? I think you underestimate how pissed off the boosters and donors will be.No he didn’t. The board and the president aren’t firing him, ever.
Boosters are all in on football, and all that really matters is keeping football healthy and staying with the big boys when the conferences break off. We still get our big fat chunk of TV money. So if Cal mess up YET again, and we STILL can't get rid of him, Mitch holds NO responsibility? I think you underestimate how pissed off the boosters and donors will be.
It’s not about being brave at all. It’s the total opposite, he’s a coward. He doesn’t have the balls to fire Cal or hire his replacement. He took the easy way out and kicked the can down the road like a true politician.

Sarcasm. SARCASMIt’s not about being brave at all. It’s the total opposite, he’s a coward. He doesn’t have the balls to fire Cal or hire his replacement. He took the easy way out and kicked the can down the road like a true politician.
So eff basketball? Why the hell are you even here on this board then?Boosters are all in on football, and all that really matters is keeping football healthy and staying with the big boys when the conferences break off. We still get our big fat chunk of TV money.
I didn’t say it was my opinion. But what I just stated is what’s most important to an athletics department right now. Don’t shoot the messenger. So eff basketball? Why the hell are you even here on this board then?
HELLThey can all go straight to...
Asst Musical chairs. You know exactly what we did last year.So what changes this time? Anything?
I hope I’m wrong but I think by the end of next football season Stoops seat will be hotter than Kal’s is now.Boosters are all in on football, and all that really matters is keeping football healthy and staying with the big boys when the conferences break off. I can tell you at least one change; I won't be wasting my time watching them.So what changes this time? Anything?
$33 million reasons he didn’t have toCal must have been on his knees crying to keep his job
I hope I’m wrong but I think by the end of next football season Stoops seat will be hotter than Kal’s is now.
A guy worried about his own job would never make this decision IMO. Not with Cal’s results the last 5 years.
I'll give Mitch some slight credit for being brave. He just bet his job on Cal next season. Dude must be one HELL of a gambler because I would NEVER make that bet.
I think he is saying that is the sentiment around the program and that appears correct with this decision. We all hoped that basketball would be more important but Mitch has no nads and we knew this.So eff basketball? Why the hell are you even here on this board then?
I mean long term. His ego wouldn't want to take a hit being fired at UK for failing to get it done.$33 million reasons he didn’t have to
Boosters and fans can't get any more pissed than they are right now......and still nothing from MB.So if Cal mess up YET again, and we STILL can't get rid of him, Mitch holds NO responsibility? I think you underestimate how pissed off the boosters and donors will be.
Eh, he’d get paid big and I think he’s pretty checked out. Might buy an island and watch the Walton’s 24/7.I mean long term. His ego wouldn't want to take a hit being fired at UK for failing to get it done.
4D & OH
We're getting number 9 next year boys!
Most likely it was Mitch on his knees.Cal must have been on his knees crying to keep his job
Mitch is holding out on doing ANYTHING until he can retire.I have oceanfront property in Kentucky for sale for anyone who believes Mitch held a hardline about (and will closely monitor) changes in the program. You can find similar "not the results we want...we will make changes" declarations for almost every year for the past five from this staff. At best, Mitch is holding our for a lower buyout and more time to find a replacement.
Mitch’s input was , hey Mr. Calipari I have an idea I’ve been kicking around. How about we give a shot at starting the best 5 next year, you know just to see what happens!I can’t believe we’re teaching a 65 year old man how to coach.
