OT: Twitter in Absolute Shambles

This is some lady that wants to live in a echo chamber penning an article with no empirical data to prove anything she claims all while making herself a victim.

Also, someone tell this snowflake you can block anyone you want on Twitter.

My investigation also reveals:

  • Concerns that child sexual exploitation is on the rise on Twitter and not being sufficiently raised with law enforcement
  • Targeted harassment campaigns aimed at curbing freedom of expression, and foreign influence operations - once removed daily from Twitter - are going "undetected", according to a recent employee.
  • Exclusive data showing how misogynistic online hate targeting me is on the rise since the takeover, and that there has been a 69% increase in new accounts following misogynistic and abusive profiles.
  • Rape survivors have been targeted by accounts that have become more active since the takeover, with indications they've been reinstated or newly created.

“Lunch break” [laughing] .

Ya take lunch when the morning work is done whether it’s 11, 12, 1, or 5 minutes cramming some shit down your throat because ya don’t have time to take a ****in hour. Unless you’re an hourly employee and required to punch out for x amount of time, in which case being hourly ****in sucks.

But I reckon.
I think wildcatboston is hourly, pretty sure he works front desk at a medical facility.

Agreed. I said further back of people wanting things to be true. The article is a lot of hearsay from people who may not like the direction Twitter has taken. Take some of it with a grain of salt. Could it be true? Maybe, but I don't see the FBI or Interpol racing in to investigate.

I have no idea if Twitter is in shambles, but from his Tweets it is apparent that Musk desperately wants to be cool/funny and just isn’t. The flopsweat practically drips from everything he posts. But he IS rich, so there’s that.

You guys aren't Elon's type. He only dates real, interesting women. Get over it.

Yesterday external links were broken for over an hour. Pretty important component to a social media site right? Also the API went down for the same timeframe which broke apps that rely on it.

Twitter never crashed before he took it over?

Iirc they made major strides in performance and stability. They removed child porn that was previously reported to be impossible. Greatly eliminated bots which inflated activity and user levels.

Yes some features were down temporarily. Obviously suboptimal. However such minor hiccups are common and happen across all sites and applicationa

It runs worse but is probably way more profitable than it was. He definitely has people over the barrel because they can’t move their followers to a new platform.
Twitter isn’t good for long form content therefore topics that can’t be discussed in basically a 5-8 second sound bite have to go to other platforms to be properly addressed.
The entire digital world works to make the various platforms and services as accessible and integrated as possible. It was a bass ackwards decision.

Greatly eliminated bots? What the hell are you smoking? While I like being able to only see people I follow the “For You” content is way worse with bots than before…at least in my experience.

That's what I use it for, people I follow linking to stories I may be interested in. I follow a couple of sportswriters in CBB, CFB, NFL and some other personalities. They usually link to a story or a podcast I like. They all like each others stories, so I don't have to follow both Seth Davis and Mike DeCoursey. That way I don't get bogged down with too many people I follow.

After typing this, Rowland linked to a free Rivals article about Top 5 portal sleepers in SEC. That is why I read Twitter.

Somebody like 84 will never watch that. Everyone involved in the twitter files is a lib that dared to set foot of off the plantation. From musk to the reporters he shared.

They were all in the trenches with lib causes their whole careers, but they made the mistake in telling how the sausage was made.

Yes but it's deeper than even that. Few days ago I posted data pulled from public sources showing the number of digital and print subscriptions for major publications. For reference, the courier journal had only 40k. 40k total reach is an incredibly low number, below anything I could've ever imagined. For reference, any budding (insufferable) influencer has at least that many and most have exponentially more.

Now consider how papers make revenue: ads and subs. Buying ads for a 40k reach is peanuts, so they are making no money at all there. Subs are just as bad at 1.99 per.

Yet they have a huge staff and large overhead with property, equipment, utilities, vehicles, etc.

If you go by market rate for ads and subs, the CJs annual revenue would barely be able to cover one month of expenses. Let's be generous and say four months. But we know from recent financial reports, these papers are fiscally in better shape than any other time in recent years.

Where is all this money coming from? The government, dnc, and agents acting on their behalf. It's literally the only answer. We have state run media.

We know Twitter made millions every month from the government shutting down things at government request. We only know about the payments made on that small sliver of "disinformation" for that week or month. No telling how much was paid annually. There can be no doubt the same is going on for these papers.

Well then someone tell me why the republicans wouldn’t also equally pay them off

Without getting too political in this thread: When you read their coverage, do you feel like it's one sided?

The honest answer is yes and it isn't in question. All but Twitter still push known false propaganda regarding covid and other social media shuts down any one that posts otherwise.

So yes in theory it could be from both sides however that really is a red herring. It happening at all, regardless of side, is awful and must be stopped

I’m not arguing that it’s one sided, I’m just not understanding why the hell republicans aren’t paying off journalists either. And it all starts with the universities. You gotta fight fire with fire they need to step their game up.

This is an excellent question.

A wealthy Republican should purchase hundreds of news organizations both local and national around the world.

I think democrats and republicans should equally pay off every journalist in existence. I’m talking hundreds of billions of dollars a year. Every station. Every paper. Just tons of money. Would solve so many problems.

Yes, the democrat model of corruption is the answer to all our problems, lol.

If we plan on winning any more national elections, we'll probably need to implement their filthy schemes. They sure as hell won't assist with cleaning up that shit.

Did he have his money in SVB? Is that why the gov declared them insolvent as a last ditch, desperate measure to take down twitter and the rest of the internet media?

Not sure exactly what happened in detail but I know for sure it's much more than what we were told. No way in hell any legitimate bank would be so heavily invested in such speculative business. No way.

In terms of miscalculation, this is far worse than the mortgage backed securities crisis because it least those required people to default. The explanation pitched for svb is basically they got upside down on bonds because they were so heavily invested in tech. In today's world, I just can't imagine such a scenario. There are way too many fail-safes to keep this from happening.

So there are really only two possibilities: 1) it was never a legitimate bank or 2) there is way more to the failure than we're told
