College basketball program tiers: Who's a blue blood these days? (Hi, UConn, bye Indiana)
We took on the impossible task of tiering the top college hoops programs, from Duke to DePaul. Where does your favorite team belong?

Admittedly, I’m having a hard time taking the article seriously. Very little time was spent discussing the actual top tier blue bloods. Most of the conversation was centered on programs like IU and UL, who have fallen down the ladder.
Anyway, their TIER 1:
Duke
Kansas
UK
UNC
UCLA
UCONN
TIER 2:
AZ
IU
UL
Mich St
Villanova
TIER 2B:
Gonzaga
They go on to extend the discussion to 6 tiers. (Why bother?)
Sorry…edited to include UCLA. And,, to be fair the article didn’t assign ranking numbers so I deleted them. But, Duke was the first team listed, whether meant to be alphabetical or not.
