Best PG in the class. Go ahead and mark him down as a Cat!

LJ Rose will be in a Showcase held by the Kentucky Basketball Acadmey on December 10-11. He will play Scott County one game. Other notables in this event: Johnny O'Bryant, Michael Chandler, Brenden Dawson, etc.

Scout has him as the No. 1 PG and No. 11 overall, but they only show 10 five-stars in the 2012 class. Rivals has him as No. 28 overall, but they only show 20 five-stars in the class. As far as I can see, Rivals has not yet rated the 2012 class "by position". If they have, I couldn't find it.

I'm not sure I want to see Cal recruit anyone else named Rose for a while, though I wish the recruit the best of luck...especially with his SAT.

I'm sorry, but I've seen him multiple times, and he's very overrated, slow for a PG, pretty unathletic, and most slower guards are great shooters, which LJ is not, has a good handle and is a good passer but in an up-tempo system like ours, he would struggle, especially when there's full court pressure. The sad thing is the only highly rated PG's that would have been good for our system are Marcus Paige who's commited to North Carolina, and Rodney Purvis who's commited to Louisville. Maybe someone will blow up but as of right now I think our best option will be Twany Beckham.

I was thinking the same thing. How desperate does one have to be to troll the Radar?
