Even if this is true, he only have four Freshmen he has to play because of alleged promises. I haven’t heard anyone say he has promised anything to Sheppard. No one is expecting Shep to play huge minutes. Some even say he won’t play at all because he is from Kentucky.

So if the big four start or play starter minutes, that still leaves three spots in the top seven. The top seven usually get pretty big minutes for Cal.

So Cal should be able to offer a good portion of PT to three veterans in the portal.

So I don’t get the “they won’t come here because of the Freshmen” argument.

There are plenty of minutes to be had for three seasoned veterans, IMHO.

These guys are likely wanting starter minutes. 4 promised guys like you said, then if reeves comes back and you add these two, it starts to get clogged a bit for guys that may want to be very involved wherever they go.

Not saying I like it, but IMO that is the reality.
