cannot use 17 in college. refs have to use fingers in college on players so only numbers allowed are 0, 00, 1-5, 10-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, and 50-55. Look at any college team and ull notice all players fall in this # range.

OK,, those numbers I mentioned except 17..

Very interesting, good info. This assumes NCAA refs can accurately use their fingers to count or to visually show a number to the scorer's table though. A big if at times.
