JAYLEN BROWN - Wheeler (Marietta, GA); 2015 SF; 6'-7"; 217; 5-Star; 247Sports rank 2; UK appears to be leading with Kansas next. Roy Williams was in attendance Saturday after his game vs Ohio St. in Chicago - 12/19/2014 beat Bentonville (AR) 61 - 40 - FG 10/16; 3's 0/3; FT 4/8; Reb 8; PF 0; TP 24; A 3; TO 6; Bk 3; Stl 4; Min 29:59 - Very impressive. Plays hard. Handles the ball really well. Looks for assists and passes well off the drive. Takes it
coast-to-coast with authority. Likes to drive and is strong to the hoop.

12/20/2014 beat Paul VI (Fairfax, VA) 55 - 52 - FG 7/13; 3's 0/2; FT 5/7; Reb 9; PF 3; TP 19; A 1; TO 7; Bk 1; Stl 3; Min 31:16 - Guarding 6'8" 230 lb Corey Manigault. Can stop & pop. Played out front and handles like a SF. Sees the court. Two bad passes on fast breaks trying to make things happen. Needs to be more careful handling the ball on breaks. Goes hard to the hoop. From the head of the circle, spin move and dunk. I really like this guy.

12/22/2014 beat Wesleyan Christian (High Point, NC) with Harry Giles 76 - 70 - FG 7/15; 3's 1/4; FT 13/13; Reb 11; PF 4; TP 28; A 3; TO 3; Bk 0; Stl 1; Min 29:24 - Two studs going at it! Giles is not quite in game shape after his injuries and was not as much of a force towards the end of the game. Jaylen just doesn't stop. His turnovers are from being aggressive, not
from carelessness. And he can shoot free throws!
12/23/2014 beat Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL) with Ben Simmons 72 - 65 - FG 6/10; 3's 2/2; FT 11/13; Reb 12; PF 5; TP 25; A 6; TO 3; Bk 1; Stl 1; Min 28:05 - Jaylen was the most impressive player at the City of Palms and the one I most want to see playing for UK next year. He is relentless. Great at sharing the ball. Twice he intercepted passes by the man he was guarding who had picked up his dribble and was just trying to pass to Simmons down low. Wheeler is the first team from Georgia to win the City of Palms and first public school to win since Niagara Falls (NY) in 2004.
Made All-Tournament Team and won Most Valuable Player Award
