I think Scott Drew would be a great hire. He knows how to build a roster w/the right combo of transfers, veterans, and top notch freshmen. Speaking of which he has the 3rd ranked recruiting class - including VJ who is a STUD - and could put us in a very competitive spot right off the bat next year. He knows how to build continuity into a program in this era which Cal could or would never do.
He also has the kind of demeanor I respect. Not sure we can say the same about Hurley.
Hurley just screams “douche” to me. He’s that Joakim Noah type that is easy to hate but I’m sure easy to love if he’s on your side.
Regardless, if we end up with Drew instead of Hurley and have a chance to put the guy back in his place, I think there would be a lot of satisfaction that we didn’t give into the old axiom “if you can’t beat them join em”
