That was a really impressive performance by Kentucky with the caveat that Vanderbilt is really bad. I probably wouldn't put a lot of stock in that, talking tonight only, and would need to see a little more. Vanderbilt was just incapable of taking away the things you have to take away to beat Kentucky. UK got whatever look they wanted and Vanderbilt could never slow them down or turn the game into a grind.

This team needed tonight. Maybe it was good to get away from home but they would have beat this Vanderbilt team regardless.

Kentucky came out of the gate strong to say the least. The Wildcats were 10/14 from three-point range in the first half. Shot 58% from the floor, outrebounded the Commodores by 11, had 10 assists. Meanwhile Vanderbilt shot 38%. It was domination and the score could have been much worse. Really beautiful basketball by Kentucky forcing the tempo. Reeves scorched the nets as did Dillingham.

Vanderbilt was simply not equipped to offer much resistance tonight. If you can't slow this team down or get physical with them then they can really make you look bad on defense and that's what happened.

Interesting decision for Vandy on Stackhouse. They were getting better every year but this is a huge step back and he still hasn't made the tournament.

Good to see Burks have some moments. Edwards had some moments. We'll just find out soon how real of a step forward tonight was but no reason for Vandy or any team to let UK play that kind of game.

Ivisic was eventful from all the fouls to shooting a lot and scoring a lot. He grabbed a bunch of offensive rebounds. Very raw player. He's absolutely huge and can definitely impact games. Will be interesting to see what Calipari does with the bigs down the stretch. Still feel like they need more extended periods of time with the same guys playing together.
