I'd be OK going a completely different direction in this search:

Greg McDermott
Mike White
Lamont Paris
Brad Brownell

...are a few of the names I would consider.
If you have to have a more experienced guy then you really have to look at Bruce Pearl and Sean Miller.
And a dark horse would be someone like Chris Collins.
Taking this approach you want to get someone who is REALLY hungry and well organized. Most importantly, he has to want to be at UK. It shouldn't just be about a huge payday for him.
Remember, Tubby Smith had done virtually nothing when he got the job.

p.s. if paying a big buyout is not an option (Oats) then Tommy Lloyd and TJ Otzelberger are both off the table.
