After flipping out last night in sheer shock, I’ve had a full change of heart. I was wrong yesterday. Call it nostalgia, call it typical Kentucky fan lunacy, whatever. Seeing the support from former players, Pitino’s video, recalling what it was like seeing players actually play for the Kentucky name and legacy, it’s chilling.
We have NIL funding pouring in as confirmed by Barnhart today, we will *finally* care more about winning games than total NBA contract values, we will have former guys coming back around for the first time in 15+ years (hopefully Pitino too) and a dude that probably would have crawled from Utah on hands and knees just to take the reins of his alma mater and give the program back to the state and university.
Screw it, I’m all in. Hope we all can be.
