Looked like best team we have played to me hope we can win series if not get 1.The Cats were doing ok, then I walked out of the gym and turned the game on. That’s the time when Florida blew it open. I absolutely hate Florida but they are damn good.
It’s between Florida and LSU in my opinion. Both have multiple guys who will be in the majors one day.Looked like best team we have played to me hope we can win series if not get 1.
LSU's pitching situation is a mess. I think Florida is a far better team. It’s between Florida and LSU in my opinion. Both have multiple guys who will be in the majors one day.
A win tomorrow I think would lock up a regional.Huge win!!!
Regional host is probably a lock with just one more win… tomorrow or next week in Hoover!
Win tomorrow with a good showing next week and we might really be talking about a top 8 seed. HUGE W tonightHuge win!!!

I honestly don’t see a top 8 with how low UK is in the rankings. Only way would be to win the SECT. But I think a win tomorrow would lock up a regional.Win tomorrow with a good showing next week and we might really be talking about a top 8 seed. HUGE W tonight
Win tomorrow and a couple in sec tournament and we should be in line to host regional and super if we make it.That might clinch hosting a regional right there. Great job from the Cayts!!

But after the past few years, just getting a regional would be huge.
The best RPI of a non-host SEC school with at least 15 conference wins was Auburn in 2014 at an RPI of 14. There are currently 7 SEC teams who are above 14 RPI and have 15 conference wins. And 2 more that have at least 15 are 16 and 18 and could be inside top 15 by end of the weekend. I dont think they'll allow 7 teams from the SEC to host. I think there are gonna be some disappointed people this year somewhere. I feel like it might be SC who gets left out with the slump they've been in.
I have been adamant that Kentucky will host with 16 wins, but I will admit the pecking order is getting convoluted in the SEC. The league has had 7 hosts in 2016 and 2021. Given the strength of the league this year I think it’s a safe bet to say they will match that. The biggest question is whether or not the committee will give the SEC 8 hosts? The best RPI of a non-host SEC school with at least 15 conference wins was Auburn in 2014 at an RPI of 14. Got there 30 minutes before first pitch never been before - no seats left only berm seating I had no chairs / wife and I left didn’t want to set on ground - did win $580 @ Red Mile casino so night was good
Great crowd for Bat Cats apparently
There were a few home plate reserved seats open, but not many. People were stuck in food lines for a long time. Lady next to us said she was in a line over 30 minutes. JDrum mentioned this issue in the thread on House of Blue.Help me understand.. on TV it looked like there were plenty of seats available.
You would run out of ink if keeping track this year.Bases loaded and two out and we get a runner picked off? Bizarre...

Very good breakdown and seeing it written out I probably feel better about Kentucky’s hosting odds. It's VERY dicey at 16 wins. Consider this:
1. Wake
2. LSU
3. UF (if they beat UK; even if they don't still top 8)
4. Arky
5. Stanford
6. Clemson (7 straight series wins, and on fire)
7. Virginia (top 10 RPI, second in ACC)
8. Vandy (do they keep this slot if they lose to Arky today?)
I think Vandy at 8 is dicey, but the other 7 outside of Virginia are pretty locked in as top 8 seeds.
Then, you have some combination of the following:
-UK (top 2 RPI, but will have only won 4 SEC series if we fail to win today)
-Auburn (17 SEC wins if they beat mezzo today, and top end series wins against LSU and SC)
-Alabama (four straight series wins, 16 sec wins, top 10 RPI, but head to head loss against UK)
-MIami (traditional power, top 12 ranking, slightly lower RPI than above)
-Duke (definitely not a top 8 team, but top 16 ranking and good year in ACC)
-West Virginia (was top 10 going into the weekend, but demolished at Texas in first two games)
-Texas (will get share of Big 12 title with win today)
-BC (Good year in the ACC and the committee likes to give northern teams host sites when they can)
-UCONN (See above about northern teams)
-Tennessee (if they sweep USC, they'll have 17 SEC wins. Even splitting doubleheader today gets them 16 wins. Horrible road record, but good series wins against SC, UK, Vandy)
-Dallas Baptist / Coastal Carolina / Campbell: Good baseball schools that play in lesser conferences. The committee doesn't want to give every host site to the SEC, so these are in play.
I do NOT feel 100% confident that we get a host site if we don't beat UF today. If we do beat UF, I feel that we have locked in a host site and have a good shot at a top 8 seed (especially if vandy loses at home against Arky today).
Good breakdown of all the teams in the mix and what's at stake today, even if I don't completely agree that it's dicey for UK with a loss today. But I agree that IF UK doesn't host, I'm sure the committee will point to 4-6 in SEC series. That seems like something they'd do.It's VERY dicey at 16 wins. Consider this:
