Was our Achilles Heel this past year. Not next year though!

Williams - 3 time DPOY in his conf. who has the bulk to not get bullied and the height to not be shot over easily, and doesn’t foul much

Carr - great height for a PF/4, and is said to be a good defender

Garrison - has the size to not get bullied, and blocked some shots

Oweh - is said to be a very good defender and can guard both SF and SG

Butler - was one of the better defenders on one of the best defenses

As long as The Pope doesn't implement "stall-ball" I'm good. (No stall-ball metrics at ALL.) No matter where he coached, The Pope has the chops...

Definitely aren’t getting bullied, win or lose. But I really like what Pope has put together and with the addition of a couple more guys, I think we could be better than expected in year one. We likely start the year in the 18-25 range but will quickly gain respect. How we finish year one will determine how quickly our guys mesh. I think Pope is a smart enough coach to adjust his “system” to fit our roster if need be.
