CBS 25 + 1 drops UK from

Irrelevant. All about NCAA seeding. And with this team they are probably a 3 seed. Still early but the danger is the seeding floor dropping and the ceiling stalling out. Can’t see this team making a serious run as a 4 seed or lower.

They know Cal is coaching and won’t adjust.
The last two seasons we’ve been killed on drives to the basket and he’s yet to change anything.

We may (and should) win 9 out of the next 10 games and be 21-4, easily back in the Top 10 if not Top 5. Then a run of 5 of 6 to finish reg. season at 26-5. That should be enough for at least a 3 seed.

Remaining games:
vs. Miss. St
vs. Ga.
at usc
at Ark.
vs. Fl
vs. UT
at Vandy
vs. Gonzaga
vs. Ole Miss
at Aub
at LSU
vs. Bama
at Miss St.
vs. Ark
vs Vandy
at UT.

Had to see this coming. Pretty typical. We lose, regardless, we fall like a rock. To be honest, probably deserve to be 15. Played like shit. We have some real concerns.
We played no worse and actually probably better than Purdue, KU, Houston, UT did last week. We won’t drop much and don’t deserve to when the real AP poll drops in an hour or so.

Based on history, a 26-5 record = 1 seed/best 2 seed

Getting beat at home by a mid major and beat on the road by a mediocre d5 team don't get you awards but hey losing is good now so what does being #1 or #63 it was a good loss Kansas and Houston are losing too everything is awesome with cal at the helm I mean now losing is accepted oh the irony in this post

9 out of 10 would be very difficult. MSU is no slouch with Tolu Smith back. AT South Carolina and AT Arkansas will be tough for different reasons. Arkansas will be dying to come out of their funk by then. Their season may be on the line. South Carolina has been really good this year under Lamont Paris so I could see their fans getting very hype for Kentucky coming to town.

In fact, I don't see an easy until Vanderbilt, which bit us last year, and Gonzaga.

Houston lost their last 2 games. They fall 3 spots. Kentucky loses 1 game, falls 7 spots.

Make it make sense.
I think they do factor in playing styles, player depth, weaknesses, "who would win between this team and that team". We have glaring weaknesses. If we don't resolve the issues with the bigs, were not going deep in the tournament, because Cal is NOT going to let these guards run the show.

It looks like they've been running the show all season.

A 7 spot drop is quite extreme, due to a loss to a TAMU team on the road, that was a preseason top 10 team or there about. That team could legit make a very deep run with their guard play and experience. Not to mention, they’re the best rebounding team in the country that played their best game of the season against us, by far!

I watched his show yesterday with Norlander and he compared Utah State (who he has #14) and Kentucky his #15.

Utah State 6-1 vs Q1/Q2 while Kentucky was 3-2 vs Q1/Q2 with a Q3 loss was his reasoning.

Of course if you look at the actual teams Utah State beat...............They got a Q1 for a win on a neutral vs San Fran.

They got Q2 wins for beating Akron, UC Irvine and others of the same kind of teams.

while a higher seed is preferred as long as you get in you have a chance regardless of your seed. As an 8 seed you play #1 seed in 2nd round and if you win that game you take over the #1 seeds place. More about matchups than seeding IMO. No matter what gotta win 6 straight.

Don’t think that will happen but 26-5 is a 2 seed especially if win 2 in SEC tourney
