Canada U23 team had tryouts today
here are some names of players (there’s probably more but i’m still trying to find them, maybe you guys can too)
Trey Thomas- Vandy, now at Bowling Green
Jefferson Monegro- Western Michigan
Brandon Muntu- Western Michigan
“After the tryout, the team will have a nine-day training camp leading up to the beginning of the tournament.” we should definitely know that roster soon, along with the Team Africa and Team Germany
I know these games will be hard, but considering that last years U23 team is consistent of guys who are all off to the NBA (or have aged out of the group), the U19 team is still playing, this group of players will only have 9 days together, i feel the most optimistic about the Canada game compared to the Germany and Africa teams.
the main guy i am curious about is Nembhard, he transferred to Gonzaga and may want to stay and build chemistry but maybe he will want to play for Canada?
and yes, Mitchell just got on campus and i’m sure they will be leaving for Candada next week and we will only have maybe a week of practice together but still feel optimistic about it
