Despite what Van Hiles wants to think...COACHING MATTERS! This is not about players, it's about coaching.
Unfortunately when after 11 years you sorta realize the Music Bowl is your ceiling it is hard to stay fired up. Been a UK almost 70 years and just realize I will never see a top tier in my lifetime.
Just goes to show what good coaching can do in a short period of time. Stoops has been here 11 years and hasn’t done what Brohm will do in his first.
It's actually bringing in players that can't get the job done and aren't capable of performing what the staff needs. Which is MOST DEFINITELY STILL on the coaches!!!!!
B10 Bear front. Hard to run on a 7-8 man front. Not sure why coaches don't move the pocket and throw on them. It's how Pitt beat them and UVA hung around. Two teams with nothing to lose threw the conservative playbook out the window.

There is some truth to that, any easy schedule helps though. In the SEC UL would have 3 or 4 losses right now.

While somewhat disappointed in our season I have never nor will I ever have hopes for a SEC championship game. Those chances are gone with the elimination of divisions and the addition of two more football franchises. There are just too many barriers in the SEC. The game today is a perfect reflection of that fact.

I take the Ben Franklin approach….I am a pessimist and with a positive result I am pleasantly surprised. 60 years of following and supporting UK football has made me that way.
Stoops coached circles around Brohm today.
We’ve played in two citrus bowls on the last 5 years. The MCB is not our ceiling.
