Wife's a Gabbard...sorry Hannibal. Lol.

I do give edge to Hannibal on mound but Gabbard lineup is murderers row.
I agree his lineup is loaded, but, 4 of the top 10 career OPS leaders (Williams, Hornsby, Foxx, Greenberg) are in my lineup. 5 of the top 19 with Walker. I knew when I drafted this team that ppl wouldn’t know my players & it would kill me, lol. Is what it is.

I know your lineup, didn't know that particular stat though. That said, wouldn't change anything for my vote. Taking into account Gehrig's disease this lineup 3-6 are some of the greatest HR hitters of all time going up against a couple of flame throwers at top of rotation.

On top of that guys like Jackson, Boggs...no gaps in lineup whatsoever.

No first baseman close to Gehrig. All other positions have someone comparable.

That was my thoughts doing this build the best lineup top to bottom, while my pitching won’t stack up against others it’s still not a bad rotation, playoff Pettitte is a bulldog, pair with another deceptive southpaw in Plank, then after seeing those 2 lefty’s, here comes a knuckleball from Niekro, then to back out the rotation with bullet Bob Feller who was top 5 in Ks at the time of his retirement, and to close who would trust the guy with the 3rd most saves of all times

I think it needs to be mentioned that pitchers hit as well

Like I said, his lineup is loaded & I wouldn’t argue against it. But mine has no gaps, either. Speaker & Hornsby at the top of the lineup rarely struck out, hit for unbelievably high average & handled the bat as well as anyone who ever played. Speaker hit at least .380 in 5 different seasons & is also the all time doubles leader & all time outfield assist leader, as one of the best defensive CFs ever.

Two of my hitters, Hornsby & Williams, hit .400 in a season. Hornsby did it 3 times & he has some pop, too, hitting as many as 42 HRs in a season. They set the table for, arguably, the greatest hitter the game has ever seen in Williams. Then he’s followed by Foxx, Walker & Greenberg who all hit for average & power.

Everyone in the lineup is a huge run producer, with my leadoff hitter at the lowest average with 89 RBI per season, which is still insane for a leadoff hitter. Lindor is at 90 & the other six averaged at least 107 per season. And it’s balanced, with 4 lefties & 4 righties. Every player in the lineup has at least one 40+ HR season, except Speaker & Lindor, but, Lindor has come close with 38.

Foxx & Greenberg both had highs of 58 in a season. Some of their RBI totals are staggering. Greenberg had 4 seasons with 147 or more with a high of 184. Foxx had 5 seasons with at least 143 with a high of 175, while batting .325 over his career. Walker had a 5 year stretch with 4 of those seasons hitting at least .350 & as high as .379 & also hit .313 for his career while averaging 31 HRs.

Everyone except Lindor has at least one MVP & I wouldn’t bet against him winning one eventually. 5/8 won at least 2 MVPs. 6/8 average at least 28 HR/season. 6/8 won at least one batting title. 4/8 won at least 2 batting titles. 3 won Triple Crowns.

Lindor & Campanella are the only two under .300 for their career, but, both still produce greatly & compensate by being 2 of the best ever, defensively, at their positions. There is tons of power, average, speed & versatility. This lineup could even win with small ball if it needed to. Just saying, I see no holes in my lineup, either. Aside from bias against players from the WW2 era & prior (not directed at you).

And, 1-5, my pitching staff is as good as anyone’s. Each starter (2 lefties, 2 righties) has at least 3 Cy Young awards. RJ has 5. Even the closer has a CY, WSMVP AND an MVP. This team wouldn’t need to score a ton even if offense WAS a problem. Considering what’s on the mound, this offense would have no problem scoring enough to compete with ANY other lineup.
