A semi is dangling off the 2nd St Bridge in Louisville

It gets a lot more traffic now that the other bridge has a toll. I don't go to Indiana much but I use 2nd Street because it's free.

A $1 trillion infrastructure bill was passed in Nov. 2021 which included replacement of these old bridges. I haven't seen as much as a pothole filled yet.
You've obviously not traveled down I-26 to I-95 south. Even the shithole state of South Carolina has been busy working, although they've still got a long way to go after years of neglecting their roads.

Just glad the driver was okay and the Louisville FD were able to safely rescue her. Gave me chills to see that and knowing how often I've traveled over the bridge over the years.

I've gone over that bridge probably 16 times. One of them a car overturned about 15 cars in front of me. Thinking that bridge may not be that safe.

I used to run over that bridge and throughout downtown but not since the Breonna's stuff and Covid. I have been on the middle of that bridge with some shady characters walking towards me. Luckily nothing happened but its alot worse downtown now.

I absolutely hate that bridge. Narrow lanes, no shoulder, no median. I can’t believe big rigs are even allowed on it. Hopefully that changes now.

Had to cross that dang bridge twice a year until I started working from home. Don't miss it at all. I was always terrified someone was gonna change lanes and kill everyone

There is ZERO room for error on this bridge. I cringe every time I have to cross it and I have been driving it since '73. I try to avoid it at night if possible.
Agree wholeheartedly.

I love the people who were saying the toll bridges should be free until they re-opened it…at least you know it’s new and safe.

Can’t imagine there’s much that’s more interesting in southern Indiana than there is in Louisville.
