Up front I don't know anything about our current roster. For those of you who seem to be better acquainted with the new players, how do you think they would compare to last years team in overall ball handling? Do you expect fewer or more turnovers from this roster?

With an uptempo offense, we will hopefully average about 65 shots per game. And CMP loves the 3. So if we average 30 threes, let’s do some quick ciphering…Ha!

• 30 threes at 40% is good for 36 points.
• 46% of the remaining 35 shots is good for another 32 points.
• 68% (our guys aren’t the strongest at FTs) of about 20 free throws is another 13-14 points.

So this team should average 81-82 points. Now with some real defense…imagine that…we should have a solid record this year.

I know…Im overthinking. But I’m just setting here bored and typing on my phone. Lol. Im still stoked about the possibilities. What say you?

Ownership has started dismantling the '21 team, and I'm OK with the Barnhart/Miley moves but sure would be nice if they could get something for them. After his fourth game of 40 points or more by the end of the third quarter, and his 6th game of 40 or more points, Steph Curry is playing at a level which no one has ever matched. He had 5 quarters of 20 or points; he shot 10-11 from the field, and 5-5 threes (three of which were 30 feet or further) in the third quarter. This is also his FIFTH game with eight or more threes. He is averaging more than 5 threes per game; he is averaging more than two steals per game, and is shooting at a stupid 52.4 percent rate. He will hit 15 threes in a game this season....if the other team is close enough. I predicted 74-8; they might go 79-3. Not even Jordan has matched this level of efficiency, and the 72' Bulls didn't match this start. Wow, Steph is GOAT right now.

I read when we get some of these new recruits where some will post and say that person will be a back-up, or list the positions and minutes based upon their views. That's fine it is a discussion board. But, think about this please. You may not know what you are talking about. Say, D.J. Wagner was transferring from another program to us. Most would be wetting their pants, "Oh wow we are getting a 5 star, he is going to be a pro, he is an impact player, etc." Right now, I would take every guard recruit we have over him. Now, he may prove to be awesome but we can say that about those we have landed as well. I am very excited by all that Coach Pope has accomplished and think we lucked out with the right guy for now and the future. It seems he also is recruiting shooters (a constant complaint here over the years for us recruiting athletes over fundamental basketball players) and whom will fit with his system. I can't wait to see our team perform. It's all really really good and perhaps amazing the line-up I am seeing.
