Zach Haake

In a radio interview this weekend, Coach Mingione said he most likely will have Haake coming out of the bullpen. He would like to "shorten the game" with Zach and Machamer on the back end of games. Also Haake has a cast on his left hand (non throwing hand). He had surgery on the hand last Friday and will likely miss the first weekend in Spartanburg.

Hope he recovers all right. I think Haake will do great from the bullpen and will give us a great middle and long relief option. Mach will have some huge shoes to fill. Won't be easy to replicate the type of year Salow had last year. Having a strong and deep bullpen was always the downfall of Henderson. I'm confident we won't have that problem any longer.

Hate that he will miss some time. They are sky-high on him. Could be a major impact guy as the season moves along.
