YouTube TV

You just can't use the DVR for SOME of the ESPN channels like the SEC. But you can for a lot of the ESPN channels. Plus, any game that's on an ESPN channel can usually be watched later from WatchESPN or ESPN3 for free if you have a login.
Ah, thanks.

I cancel YouTubeTV soon as the basketball season is over. Usually I fire it back up for football but not sure I’m gonna watch the train wreck this coming year yet. We never have time to watch tv during the summer anyways.
This is what I do. I'll "pause it " after the final four and reactivate it for college football

The last few years with Cal, I just canceled YTTV at the end of college football. I'd listen to our basketball games on the radio the rest of the regular season or watch the ones on network TV or at a bar or friends' house.

Nobody likes the price increase ... but I still think it is a good bargain compared to traditional cable or satellite. And everyone's situation is different ... my wife likes other channels in addition to sports. It is all in one place, I can watch on my phone or computer easily from anywhere. No need to get 4-5 other services just to replace this one. BUT I can see why some of you would.

The best way to approach any service is be willing to switch, get locked into a cheaper rate, and switch in two years when the price goes up. I used DirecTV for 14 years until it got too expensive. Then I switched to Spectrum and it was fine for 2 years until they doubled the price. So I switched to YTTV, and even with this increase, is still $60-70 less than I was paying for Spectrum.

I'm going to do what other have suggested here, wait till ball season is over and pause it till football starts up. Plus I'm going to add a buddy and we are going to split the costs. Yes I'm that cheap.

seems like you should be able to subscribe to ESPN, play $20 a month and get all their channels.

sports are the only thing I watch on Youtube TV
