I would go Ulis, Briscoe, Murray, Lee, and Labissiere.
Now according to the box score Duke is starting Allen, Jones, Ingram, Jefferson, and Plumlee. Not sure who is running the point for them with that lineup (I assume Thornton comes in pretty quickly into the game).
So that would create some interesting matchups for us on the defensive end:
Ulis vs. Jones- major size disadvantage for Ulis.
Briscoe vs. Allen- I like Briscoe's defense better than Murray thus far, I'd put him on their best guy.
Murray vs. Ingram- major size disadvantage for Murray.
Lee vs. Jefferson- should be a good matchup of experienced players.
Labissiere vs. Plumlee- strength disadvantage for Labissiere, but a major talent advantage.
Now offensively, Duke will have trouble with our quickness with that lineup. If Ingram has to guard any of our guards, he will likely struggle to stay in front of them.
I think Duke will have to counter our quickness and go with:
Thornton vs. Ulis
Allen vs. Briscoe
Jones vs. Murray
Ingram vs. Lee
Jefferson vs. Labissiere
I think that is the lineup K ultimately wants to go with anyway. I can't see Plumlee starting all season, but who know? I never thought Zoubek would start all year in 2010 and he turned out to be really good for them.
They might want to outmuscle us. I don't think they can out quick us.
K is going to have them ready, so it will be a tough game.
I think we win because of our pressure. Thornton is their only true PG and Ulis will be in his grill all game long. I think that will be the difference.
