What the hell is Cal talking about? Our four and five stars in the past have never gone on to make money in basketball. It's obviously not possible... This is just another one of his lies.

The OP in that thread was so confused because of the big words. The quote from Cal is nothing knew. He has long said that with the new contracts, the amount of money is going to be so high that it can transform a player's entire family going forward, most of whom were poor in the past.

Cal knows that getting to the NBA and making big bucks is a goal most talented players aspire to. He does his best to help players reach this goal and he knows that this is a great recruiting tool. What is different about Cal than many college basketball coaches is the fact that he acknowledges this and puts the players first instead of putting his program first.
