You wrote, "pushing etiquette or political correctness", right? However, that's really neither here nor there.
You also mentioned in another post above that you aren't aware of any other remarks she made other than "pants and weight rooms" comments. I've read remarks attributed to her (from fans that claim to have been sitting in her vicinity) that are much, much worse. Do I know they are telling the truth? No. But I've seen it from more than one person. What's more, according to a Lexington television reporter, her teenage daughter felt the need to apologize for her stating, "she is drunk".
I also take issue with your premise that the *standard* behavior observed in many modern sporting venues is "far worse". Really?? I mean I understand that it's fairly common to hear cursing, but I've been a season ticket holder in Rupp for years, and I've attended many, many other sporting events in my lifetime. In my experience, it's been way more the exception, rather than the rule, to witness a drunken spectator making such an obnoxious, crude spectacle of themselves that security has to approach them several times, eventually escorting them out.
I do agree that Gregg Marshall might not be responsible for his wife's actions, but it would be naive to think he (or even their kids, for that matter) won't suffer the consequences. You don't think most ADs won't take that into consideration before they seriously contemplate hiring him?
I sure hope Mitch would.
